Dr. Somi Javaid is a board certified OB/GYN, leading women’s sexual health care provider, thought leader, and founder & Chief Medical Officer of HerMD. She has been a speaker for various health and wellness campaigns, events and podcasts. In August 2020 Dr. Javaid spoke about Gender Bias and the Female Sexual Health Revolution on the TEDx mainstage and in January 2021 she was featured in Women on Topp for her work as a trailblazer and pioneer in women’s sexual health. She was also recognized as a finalist for the Female Founders Alliance Champion Awards in the advocate category for her work in women’s sexual health. Dr. Javaid leads female-focused research and advises the FDA on emerging treatments in women’s healthcare with the goal to close the gender gap in healthcare. She travels around the country training physicians on the latest developments and treatments for women’s sexual health. Her mission to educate, advocate for, and empower women.
