Jo Yarrington - Choice
2022, altered Sheela Na Gig hanging statue, worn library copy of "Pride and Prejudice", 14" x 6"
In site-specific exhibitions, public art commissions, collaborative projects, drawings, sculptures and prints, Jo Yarrington uses varied combinations of glass, waxed surfaces, discovered objects and experimental analog photography to investigate the way we perceive the interplay between objects and images. Her mostly interdisciplinary work is focused on the liminal in dualities - science and art, chance and the found, language and meaning. Random experiences click in to place, form a narrative, reveal a truth.
